WICKER ACTS
Scotland's favourite family festival the Wickerman announces more acts to join its main stage top billers.
Analogue
keyboards and shadow puppet theatre is on offer from electro troupe
Casiokids. The Norwegian performers will journey to the rolling hills
of South West Scotland to perform on Saturday 25th July.
Closer
to home Carlisle based Burn The Negative will make the short hop across
the Solway Firth to add a dash of electronic pop punk to the widely
varied main stage roster.
Alternative indie act Its A Buffalo continues the Wickermans love affair with Mancunian artists.
Festival
director Sid Ambrose explained "The Wickerman is within easy driving
distance of Manchester, we tend to draw much of our audience from the
North West and we like to take advantage of the vibrant music scene
happening in that area."
Festival
stalwarts and headliners The Human League, The Zutons, Magic Numbers
and Dreadzone have already been announced for the July gathering which
will feature over 100 acts across eight stages.
In
addition to the musical offerings there will be mountain biking, kite
making, fire-walking, yoga and a poetry marathon to entertain the
masses.
The Wickerman takes place on the 24th and 25th July at East Kirkcarswell Farm, Dumfries & Galloway.
