Itsy's Kabarett w/Miss Behave, 22nd May, Voodoo Rooms

Embark on a journey to the dark cabaret underworld as the Itsy Collective are joined by Mistress of Ceremonies Miss Behave to take over the decedent ballroom of Edinburgh’s premiercabaret haunt, the Voodoo Rooms for a one off installment of the alternative variety spectacular: Itsy's Kabarett. 

Expect a twisted little show, not for the feeble or faint-hearted featuring the best in Alternative Variety performance including Comedy, Theatre, Music & a bit of Burlesque, starring: Performance Artist: Ryan Styles, Burlesque superstar: Leyla Rose, Quirky Cabaret Quartet: Raise Your Hem + Malady De Winter, Miss Hell's Belle, Teniah Twisted, comedians Muzzy Hamilton, Madame Myfanwy  & Alan Sharp and dancer Lady V.

Miss Behave (aka Amy Saunders)

An eccentric comedienne and accomplished variety performer and one of only three female sword swallowers in the world. Miss Behave has been performing in all known mediums for the best part of a decade and had a starring role in the famous Spiegeltent’s sensational smash hit, and Olivier Award winning, show: La Clique.Seen on Guinness World Records guzzling seven swords simultaneously to break the world record.

Ryan Styles:

Ryan presents theatrical stylised performances with elaborately costumed characters in the genre of mime, drag and live art. With a background in the visual arts, degree in jewellery design and clown training from the reknowned Ecole Philippe Goulier, on any given night you can see him disco tap dancing, lip-syncronised swimming or dressed as Mount Fuji. These acts incorporate Styles's genius humour, unique costuming an extreme make-up in an original imaginative way. His work is poigniant and beautifully crafted.

He has appeared at: the Whoopee Club, Torture Garden, Act Art, the Soho Theatre, New York's Guggenheim museum, Berlin's Barbie Deinhoff, Burlescapades and the Glastonbury festival - to name but a few.

Leyla Rose:

With an enchanting smile, feline grace, marshmallow skin and retro-vamp style, performers rarely get more intriguing than Leyla Rose. A champion gymnast and dancer in her childhood, Leyla gathered a lifetime of performance experience in a variety of fields, including nine years as a sought after bellydancer, before evolving into a wickedly voluptuous and charismatic burlesque artist. She is now well established in the upper echelons of the UK burlesque scene, performing at prestigious events such as The Candy Box in Birmingham, Torture Garden and Burlescapades and appearing in legendary venues such as Bethnal Green Working Men's Club and Madame JoJo's.
