We've got a cracking new band on tour from the USA making the Edinburgh debut
at The Jazz Bar this weekend. Heloise Williams leads the punk-funk disco-rock band Heloise &
the Savoir Faire, who fly in from New York City for an exclusive Scottish performance,
performing songs from their LP "Trash, Rats & Microphones", which features legendary Blondie vocalist Debbie Harry.
The music of this band sits across too many genres to go into, but one thing is sure - they put on a hell of stage show. Check photos and video on the band's websites - links below.
The tale
of Heloise & The Savoir Faire reads like an especially juicy gossip item,
involving luminaries from the worlds of fine art, film, television, underground
music and even music veterans. Elijah Wood, the Lord of the Rings star instantly
took a liking to the band and he was also starting his own record label, Simian
Records. He snapped them up for his new label. "The Graham Norton Show"
booked Heloise & Savoir Faire to make their UK debut on the program; and the
hype machine was well and truly in motion.
So, hype or no hype, this will certainly be a gig to remember.

voice, Solid Gold moves and a sassy tongue in her cheek." TIme Out, New
