Was a nice Summer day to lie on the grass and let the toddler go barefoot in the Gardens. However, the park was carpeted with cigarette butts, which he was keen to pick up and put in his mouth, so had to clear up a space before we could sit down. Shortly after this photo was taken some of the council's new street cleaners moved in with their litter picking equipment, but I imagine it's something of a losing battle trying to clear up cig ends.
