It seems people like a demolition. Yesterday's demolition of the three towers in North Sighthill, to make way for 320 new homes (see earlier story), has already become the second most popular video on the City of Edinburgh Council's YouTube channel after 19 hours with 4,165 views.
Sure, that's not saying a great deal when you consider that Susan Boyle is clocking in from around 10 to over 75 million views for many of her videos, but it's a few thousand more than the council's other video reports usually pull in.
The top three videos on the council's YouTube channel, set up just under two and a half years ago, are demolitions: the most played video, with around 1,000 more views than the Sighthill clip, shows another demolition of three Gracemount multi-story blocks a year ago. A longer version of the same demolition is also the third most popular video on the channel.
