With still another six of its ten day run to go, the Edinburgh International Film Festival has announced this Sunday's "Best of Fest" screenings. Tickets are £6 each or £20 for 4 for screenings of "the best" and sold-out films at the EIFF.
Among the line-up is Afghanistan-set documentary Restrepo, which was shot by two embedded filmmakers over the course of a year; Edinburgh-set horror Outcast and Edinburgh-brothel-set "A Spanking In Paradise"; Star Wars fandom striking back in The People Vs George Lucas and Jackboots on Whitehall (both of which featured in our film festival blog); and there's octopi from space in Monsters.
The film festival has also been running a 2 for 1 ticket offer for After the Wave, the rare British film retrospective, which one of our reviewers reckons is the best thing going at the festival.
