World famous Scottish comedian Billy Connolly is to perform four gigs at Edinburgh's Usher Hall this autumn following multi-million pound refurbishment of the venue.
Tickets to see the hugely popular comic are expected to sell rapidly when they go on sale today at 10am.
Billy Connolly will play the Usher Hall on 19, 20, 22 and 23 September 2009.
"Billy Connolly is quite simply one of the funniest people in the world and one of Scotland's best loved performers," said Councillor Deidre Brock, Culture Leader.
"It's also been some time since he played an Edinburgh gig, so these tickets are bound to sell like the proverbial hotcakes!
"We're thrilled to be hosting Billy Connolly's gigs at the Usher Hall. The Hall has been undergoing an extensive internal revamp and extension and is shaping up to be a truly world class venue for the 21st century. It will host more than 200 concerts and shows a year and we already have a brilliant line-up of acts for the forthcoming autumn season."
Tickets to Billy Connolly's show cost from £27.50 to £30, plus £3 booking fee from Usher Hall's box office.
