Summerhall is delighted to announce that it has won the Dan Crawford Award for Innovation at the Empty Space... Peter Brook 2015 Awards.
The annual awards, now in their 26th year, celebrate innovations by theatre spaces that receive little or no public funding.
The winner was announced at a ceremony at the National Theatre Studio in London today and the award was accepted by Summerhall's General Manager Sam Gough.
"It gives me great pleasure to accept this award on behalf of our amazing team at Summerhall," said Gough, accepting the award. "We are absolutely delighted to win this prestigious award and would like to thank the judges for their consideration. Summerhall is a unique and special place with a dedicated team of hard working and creative people behind it. We pride ourselves on our innovative programming all year round and it's fantastic to be recognised with such a special award."
A fantastic boost for Summerhall and for Edinburgh!
