Love 2.0 is a darkly comic new play all about love, hook-ups, Facebook and Simply Red. It is a story all about falling in and out of love in 2015, and how on Facebook, not all is quite what it seems…
This piece of brand new writing, that stars two of Scotland’s emerging talents Sam Keefe and Lucy Goldie, will strike a chord with anyone who’s ever had to talk to another person on the internet.
Sam has recently been seen in Vanishing Point’s Tomorrow at the Tramway, Notes From The Underground, and The Maids at the Citizens Theatre and on BBC Scotland’s Burnistoun and Lucy‘s credits include The Pitchfork Disney, at The Tron, Tartuffe, at a Play, a Pie and a Pint and What's Funny About the Indyref? for BBC Scotland.
Love 2.0 is written and directed by visiting lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Andy McGregor whose previous directing credits include Eric the Elf's Chaotic Christmas (Citizens Theatre), The Rise and Inevitable Fall of Lucas Petite (The Arches), Theatre Uncut (Traverse and Tron) and Jason and the Argonauts (Lyceum). His work as a composer includes Tin Forest (National Theatre of Scotland), Notes from the Underground (Visiting Company, Citizens Theatre) and Towards the Moon, which was performed off-Broadway and received three Musical Theatre Matters awards.
Love 2.0 marks the first major production by Glasgow-based Sleeping Warrior Theatre Company, made possible by a generous grant from Creative Scotland and presented in association with The Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock. Produced by Callum Smith, the tour reaches every corner of Scotland, from major theatres in the central belt, to the Isle of Coll with only 200 inhabitants!
