The Saltire Festival is a week-long celebration around St Andrew’s Day, highlighting the fact that East Lothian is the birthplace of Scotland’s Saltire flag.
This year’s headlining act is ‘80s duo Hue and Cry. The brothers Pat and Gregory Kane will do a stripped back performance introduced by comedian Mark Nelson. 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of the highly successful Hue and Cry album Remote that spawned the singles Ordinary Angel, Violently and Looking for Linda . The duo has performed alongside the likes U2, James Brown, Madonna, Al Green and Van Morrison were recognised by their peers by being presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Music Awards.
