The final results are in and the Scottish Nationalists with 47 votes have won one more seat than Scottish Labour with 46.
Either SNP or Labour will have to form a coalition with other parties
to govern. A new first minister has to be appointed by 30 May, 28 days
from the election.

There was 1 constituency seat change with the SNP taking Edinburgh East and Musselburgh previously held by Scottish Labour.

Sarah Herriot Boyack (Scottish Labour) held her seat with a majority of 1193.

David William McLetchie (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party) held his seat with a majority of 4,525.
