Pilton Video, amazingly celebrating its 25 years of community filmmaking this year, is holding a christmas screening of five
dramas at the Edinburgh Filmhouse on Thursday 13 December 2007 at 7pm.
The films are:
Stolen Christmas - directed by Graham Fitzpatrick, written by Helen Chambers, 18 mins, HD (2007) Tough and uncompromising. Joy struggles to keep her family together on
Christmas Eve. An explosive husband haunted by serving in Iraq, a son
craving a normal festive period and a surprise visitor - all create an
experience never to be forgotten.
The Flyer - written and directed by Andrea Harkin, 15 mins, HD (2007)
Anna struggles to establish a new life in Scotland, while trying to
save her long-distance relationship with childhood sweetheart Pawel,
who remains waiting in Poland.
Thank God for Jehovah - directed by Jake Finnegan, written by Nicola Walker, 10 mins, HD (2007)
A tale of a young woman trapped in a violent relationship and her increasingly desperate attempts to escape.
Stargazing - directed by Maria Svoronou, written by Alan Mountford, 5 mins, HD (2007)
A dark night, two twelve year old boys sneak out to study the stars. In
an isolated field they find something that will change their lives
forever.
Frankie and Bessie - directed by Nicola Walker, written by Peter Ferrier & Sheila Webb, 5 mins, HD (2007)
Frankie and Bessie is based on a real life incident; an old couple, down on their luck, argue on a park bench.
