Description
Edinburgh Zoo's Giant Lanterns trail returns for another year with a new theme of magical space safari.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) will be lighting up the zoo from November 2026 to February 2027 with "a cosmic glow up of colour, creativity and wonder".
Over 600 lanterns will light a mile-long nocturnal trail shining a light on wildlife "with an interstellar twist, from celestial planets to galactic jungles".
Runs 60 nights from Friday 13 November 2026 – Sunday 21 February 2027.
Includes a designated adult only evening and two quiet night evenings.

Prices vary. From £14.
Entry from 4:45pm with last entry at 8pm. The event finishes at 9pm.
Early bird tickets are available for a limited time with 10% off.
