Gardening Scotland went into receivership with the onset of the pandemic restrictions in April 2020.
The annual horticultural event at the Royal Highland Centre no longer takes place, so this page is currently being maintained for archive purposes only.
A similar show, The Scottish Garden Show at Scone Palace, near Perth, was due to take place in 2021 but was cancelled due to pandemic restrictions.
About Gardening Scotland (archive)
The major Scottish showcase for gardening and outdoors lifestyles returns as we enter the Summer months. Gardening Scotland brings together experts, designers, and exhibitors to help people to grow their own, from sewing seeds to nurturing your plants, to picking your produce at the optimum time.
One of the highlights are the show gardens, both the designer show gardens and the schools pallet garden competition which sees about 50 entrants. These tiny little theme gardens show what's possible in a small space with a little imagination and a sense of fun.
The Floral Hall has a huge plant sale featuring specialist nurseries from across the UK and advice from experts on getting the most out of your garden whether it is enriching your soil or building a bird house. You will find newly-introduced plants and prize-winning vegetables and floral displays.
For budding gardeners, the Little Seedlings Club will offer youngsters lessons in sowing seeds, and let them run wild in The Big Back Garden (swings, sand pits, treasure hunts, etc.).
Almost 400 exhibitors take part in Gardening Scotland, selling everything from hoes to hot tubs. Plenty of inspiration for the gardener or urban farmer in the family.
