About the Area
Dalmeny is a village situated to the North West of Edinburgh, and East of the Forth Rail Bridge. It falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Edinburgh.
The centrepiece of the village is its Romanesque Parish Church, parts of which date back to the 12th century. The church is still in use.
Dalmeny is also distinguished by its private stately home, a gothic pile situated in a large wooded park overlooking the Firth of Forth.
There has been extensive building in the Dalmeny area in the 1990s for Edinburgh commuters.
Dalmeny Railway Station
