Jaguar Classic antiques of the road to visit the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre Doune

Classic antiques of the road to visit the Scottish Antique
and Arts Centre Doune for one day only on 29 June 2008

The Jaguar Enthusiasts Club
and Scottish Antique and Arts Centre have teamed up to host the 2008 Scottish
Jaguar Day.

The event will be held
for one day only in the grounds beside the extensive showrooms of the Scottish
Antiques and Arts Centre at Doune.

It's a fitting
setting for this year's event as the centre was once the location of Doune Motor
Museum but now houses a
vast collection of antiques, curios, collectables and contemporary gifts.
There is also a restaurant at the centre with a varied and delicious menu
including hot meals, hand made fresh sandwiches and homemade cakes.

Visitors to the centre on
29 June can enjoy free of charge the twin delights of browsing and purchasing
from one of the finest collections of antique and contemporary goods on sales
under one roof and the opportunity to take a stroll around the grounds and view
some of the 150 Jaguars which are expected at the event - from as far
afield as Cheshire and the Grampians.

Cars on show will range
from 1950's Mark V111 and Mark 1X's, E-Types and XJS to modern XK
Sport Cars and XJ Saloons. The oldest car on display at the event will be a
1957 mark IX Jaguar and the newest XF models and specialist custom built
cars.

Other activities
available on the day will include a piper, raffle, tombola and homemade produce
stall.

Trophies will be awarded to the best cars in each
Class - for example Best 1950's vehicle to present day models. Best
Non-JEC car and furthest travelled entry and best in show. There will also be a
prize for the vehicle - which the ladies in attendance would most like to
be driven home in...

The Scottish Antique centre is the brainchild of
Bob and Elaine Templeman who for many years ran a successful antiques business in Perth town centre and a
converted farm steading at Rait. They sought to recreate an antique retailing
experience in Scotland
similar to what they had seen on a recent visit to United States.

Upon their return they sought premises the two Scottish Antique
& Arts Centres are located in Doune, Perthshire and Abernyte, nr Dundee the
venues previously used as car museum and car show room respectively offer over
