As the name suggests, this New Town building, run by the National Trust of Scotland as a public museum, has been carefully restored as a typical Georgian House of the late 18th-early 19th century. This includes furniture, porcelain, silver and glass that reflect the New Town lifestyle of the time.
The Georgian House at No. 7 Charlotte Square, is next door to Bute House, the official residence of First Minister. It looks out upon the leafy, green expanse of Charlotte Square Gardens, one of a fine example of Robert Adam's original architectural paradigm for Edinburgh's New Town.
The Georgian House also hosts children's events and is available for private functions.
