St Margaret's House is an Edinburgh charity who aim to provide affordable studio space, alongside a complimentary program of exhibitions & events.
St Margaret's House is run by a board of voluntary trustees, with day to day operations run by a small in-house office team.
Opened in August 2008, St Margaret's House is a charitable organisation based along London Road, Edinburgh. Our main aim is to redress the imbalance between the number of artists working in the city and the affordable work-space that is available to them. This is achieved through offering up rehearsal and studio space at either discounts rates, or where possible, free of charge.
We also aim to reach out to the surrounding community through arts education initiatives, participatory projects, exhibitions and events, striving to create an events program that connects and inspires the local artistic community.
