Situated in the heart of the Old Town this is the famous large open, cobbled square on the Royal Mile. Parliament Square is named after parliament house which was built in 1641 and was used by the Scottish parliament until the Treaty of Union in 1707.

You will find the Law Courts, Signet Library, and St Giles Cathedral here.

Edinburgh City Chambers is opposite Parliament Square.
