Last year’s Fringe hit Double Feature, by comedy writer Phil Differ, returns for a Scottish Summer Tour starring the King’s Theatre’s panto stalwarts, Andy Gray and Grant Stott. The duo has stepped out to Fringeland with two man shows such as Fringe First Award winner, Kiss Me Honey, Honey! and Willie & Sebastian that capitalised on their tremendous working partnership that shines in every show.
Presented by Gilded Balloon, and set against a backdrop of fading film posters, abandoned reels of film and dust covered cinema sets, Double Feature sees Stott and Gray star as Mikey and Davey, two old pals who have been granted their dream job clearing out their old local cinema. In the process of stirring memories and recreating scenes from their favourite movies, their shared fanaticism for film soon makes way for bigger issues that have long remained unresolved.
This Scottish tour of Double Feature, that included St Andrews, Peebles, Livingston, Musselburgh and Stirling, ends at the Kings’ Theatre Edinburgh on 18th and 19th May 2018
